Fees, Payment, Insurance, Billing

Have the information you need to make an informed decision—no jargon, no surprises.

🧾 Insurance & EAP

I’m currently in-network with:

  • PacificSource

  • Aetna

  • Lyra (EAP)

If you’re using insurance, here’s what that usually means:

  • You’ll receive a psychiatric diagnosis, and our work will need to focus on symptom reduction

  • Your confidentiality is more limited—your insurance company can request access to your records

Some plans may limit the number of sessions or types of services they cover, or may offer fewer benefits for online therapy compared to in-person care.

🧾 Out-of-Network (OON) Reimbursement

If I’m not paneled with your insurance provider, we might still work together using superbills.

Here’s how that works:

  • I provide a superbill (an insurance-ready invoice) for you to submit to your plan

  • The superbill must include a diagnosis, service codes, and other clinical information from the client and the provider

  • This means our first couple of sessions will focus on assessment, diagnosis, and creating a treatment plan that meets insurance requirements (focus on symptom reduction)

  • Some insurance companies may still request my notes to process claims

You’ll need to check with your insurer about how much they reimburse and where to send the superbill

💳 Paying Out-of-Pocket (OOP)

If you’d rather skip insurance altogether, here’s what that allows:

  • No diagnosis required

  • More confidentiality over your personal health information

  • Treatment guided by your goals, not insurance templates

  • Greater flexibility in the length, pace, frequency, and focus of therapy

💸 My Current Fees:

  • Individual sessions: $150–$220

  • Couples/relationship sessions: $200-$250
